And what a double celebration it is, as I also raise a glass to my daughter's remarkable achievement—graduating from college! It's moments like these that remind us life isn't just about business; it's about celebrating the beautiful milestones, both personal and professional.
As I sit here reflecting on another trip around the sun and the closing of one chapter while eagerly anticipating the beginning of the next, I can't help but think back to my college days. All those years of wonderment and restlessness, navigating the complexity of "adulting" and exploring countless paths to discover what truly resonated with me.
Back then, it felt like time stretched endlessly before me, filled with opportunities to try different careers, delve into the depths of discovering who I am, and connect with others. It was a time of growth, self-discovery, and laying the foundation for the journey ahead.
And here we are, at the end of another era, closing one door and eagerly peeking through the cracks of the next. It's reminiscent of my sentiments in January 2021, a time of reflection, gratitude, and forward momentum.
Even now, my grandmother's sage advice echoes in my mind: "Don't rush time, baby. You never know what you are rushing to." Wise words, indeed, serve as a gentle reminder to savor each moment, to embrace the journey with open arms, and to glean wisdom from every twist and turn along the way.
As I look into the future, I find myself pondering what lies ahead—for me, for my family, for my community, and my business. Am I prepared? What lessons have I learned that will guide me through the unknown territory of tomorrow?
While I may not have all the answers today, I do know one thing for certain: I'm not rushing time. I'm taking a page from my grandmother's book, relishing in the beauty of each passing day, celebrating the victories, and embracing the lessons that come my way.
So here's to another year of growth, discovery, and unwavering resilience. Here's to embracing the journey, wherever it may lead, and finding joy in the simple moments that make life truly extraordinary.
